IV Conscious Sedation Certification

Our comprehensive one and two-drug sedation certification program is designed to provide you with the skills necessary to fully incorporate sedation and anesthetics into your practice safely and effectively.

Registration Steps:

1. Register for the IV conscious sedation program. 
2. If applicable, pay installments according to our payment schedule.
3. Book your RDAs for Session 3.

Note, you must have two RDAs present during session 3 to attend. Please complete step 3 no later than two months before the posted start date for session 3. Any RDAs accompanying you will be sent a registration link for our complimentary Sedation Assistant Certification.

Session Schedule 2026-2027

Session 1- Nitrous and ECG interpretation- ECG day can be done on Zoom or in-person for out-of-town participants 

• May 23-24, 2026, in Calgary (Nitrous on the 23rd, ECG on the 24th)

• July 14-15th, 2026, in Edmonton (Nitrous on the 15th, ECG on the 14th)

• September 19-20, 2026, in Edmonton (Nitrous on the 19th, ECG on the 20th)

Session 2A- ACLS training (8:00 am-4:30 pm)

• June 13-16, 2026, in Edmonton at PMA

• August 11-14th, 2026, in Edmonton at PMA 

• October 17-20, 2026, in Edmonton at PMA

Session 2B- Two Drug Lecture (on Zoom 6-9 pm)

• June 2, 2026 (can be taken before 2A)

• August 10th, 2026 (can be taken before 2A)

• October 20, 2026

Session 3- Clinical Session- 1-day orientation, 5 days-21 patients provided to you

• June 22-27, 2026, in Edmonton

• July 12-17, 2026, in Edmonton 

• August 17-22, 2026 OR August 17-20, 2026 + November 7-8, 2026

• NEW-Split Session: 3 days, November 6-8, 2026, and December 16-18, 2026, in Edmonton (dates updated once the school calendar is confirmed)
