Winter Special Schedule

When you register for our winter special, you'll be automatically enrolled in the sessions below. If you need alternative dates, they're available at full price.

Session 1 - Nitrous and ECG interpretation 

  • November 15, 2025 in Calgary + January 18, 2026 in Edmonton

Session 2A - ACLS training

  • February 7-10, 2026, in Edmonton (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)

Session 2B - Two Drug Lecture

  • February 2026 (date TBA) in Edmonton/Zoom at 6-9 p.m.

Session 3 - Clinical Session

  • February 17-22, 2026, in Edmonton (1-day orientation, 5 days-21 patients)

Please note: Session dates may be subject to change due to the school calendar. If a session is cancelled, you can select an alternative at no additional cost.

Payment Schedule

Installments are due 3 months prior to each session.

  • Session 1 Installment: $3,200
  • Session 2 Installment: $7,000
  • Session 3 Installment: $14,500 (if splitting the installment, both payments are due the same day).

The total cost of this program (not including the RDA Fee or precordial stethoscope) is $24,700.

Prerequisites

  • DDS/DMD degree and an active practicing license from your dental regulatory authority
  • Letter of Good Standing from your current dental regulatory authority
  • Current Heart & Stroke Foundation CPR certificate (only Heart and Stroke Foundation CPR accepted, due to corresponding ACLS training and certification through the Foundation)
  • Copies required following registration.

Complementary Sedation Assistant Certification

It is very strongly recommended that your assistants attend Session 3. 

  • Accompanying dental assistants (RDA/RDH) can register for the Sedation Assistants Certification Program (SAC) for free.
  • Level C or Healthcare Provider CPR certificate required for assistants.

If you do not bring an assistant, a RDA fee of $1,800 per assistant supplied by the U of A, for a total of 2 assistants, will apply. 

Additional Fees

  • There is a cost to obtain the required Letter of Good Standing from your local regulatory body 
  • Out of Province Participants: an additional $500 fee payable to register with the Alberta Dental Association and College's Guest Registry. This does not include the fees to obtain Letters of Good Standing that they will require from any provinces you have worked in the past. 
  • Precordial stethoscope fee of ($1150-purchase through Valuemed).

Policies

Cancellation Fee

20% of the entire program fee to cancel. No cancellations once eClass access is provided.

Transfer Fee

  • Transfer Fee Session 1: There is no fee to transfer from Session 1. Two weeks' notice is required.
  • Transfer Fee Session 2: The fee to transfer from Session 2 is $2,000; two weeks' notice is required.
  • Transfer Fee Session 3: The fee to transfer from Session 3 is $5,000; two month’s notice is required.

Additional Fees

Fees for the application to the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta's Courtesy Register are the responsibility of the participant (an application is required for any out-of-province participants).

Attendance Policy

Due to the new dental regulations, participants are required to sign in before each session for proof of attendance.

Competency Disclaimer

Our programming is competency-based; therefore, where applicable, certification standards must be met to pass, and the failure to do so does not result in refund eligibility. There will be additional costs if remediation is required to complete additional cases past 21 patients.
