COURSE INFORMATION:
This course is worth up to three CE credits* and will be delivered in a combined lecture and workshop format. Participants will examine and address both manual and automated sharpening techniques to achieve a positive sharpening outcome.
The objectives of this course are:
- Review of instrument design and sharpening stone options
- Address obstacles to instrument sharpening and how to overcome them
- Discuss four common sharpening errors and how to avoid them
- Identify useful strategies for both manual and automated, sharpening (side kick) to achieve positive sharpening outcomes
