The Comprehensive Stuttering Program (CSP) fluency therapy approach authored at ISTAR is now available in a condensed 2-day workshop format to practising clinicians. Hundreds of students and practising clinicians have learned this evidence-based approach in the past 30 years through participating in clinical traineeships at ISTAR. The efficacy of the CSP approach has been well-researched and reported in several journal articles.
This 2-day basic workshop includes a summary of etiological theories about stuttering and therapy approaches for school-age, teen, and adult clients. Participants will be trained in the identification of stuttering behaviours, fluency skill practise and instruction, delivery of accurate and appropriate feedback, and problem solving. The workshop will be delivered in a live online format allowing time for questions and interaction (The workshop will not be recorded for later viewing).

Timing: 8:30 am to 12:00 noon, and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm MT
Rate: $545 early bird - $595 regular

CONDITIONS: To attend, you must be a Speech-Language Pathologist or SLP assistant. A processing fee of $45 will be retained by ISTAR if you request a refund due to purchasing this item by mistake, or cancel before July 31, 2024. Your registration may be transferred to another qualified attendee given at least 1 week's notice prior to the session at no charge. Cancellations on August 1st and afterward will incur a $300 fee.
The workshop fee includes the 2-day training workshop, plus digital handouts.
ISTAR reserves the right to cancel the workshop >30 days before the start date if registration is insufficient. If minimum enrollment is not met by August 1, 2024 you will be given a full refund of the amount you paid, or have the option to fully transfer your payment towards an SLP mentorship package with ISTAR (mentorship is $145/hour, or a 3-hour package for $390).
