This ticket gives you two vacuum forming sheets and two wooden inserts, as well as staff assistance to make your molds! No equipment training or Garage Orientation is required prior to the event!
The Elko Engineering Garage invites you to join us for an afternoon of designing, laser cutting, and vacuum forming your own custom chocolate bar molds! We are located on the second floor of the Engineering Teaching and Learning Complex (ETLC) in room E2-010.
Any active UofA student or staff can attend, and this event does not require any prior Garage training or experience, such as the Garage Orientation. We might have drop-in tickets available for sale, but we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance to secure your spot.
Please note, chocolate will not be provided at this event. We do have recommendations for melting chocolate after the event, which can be found in the instructions on the Garage website.
If you have purchased a ticket and cannot attend the event, please let us know at garage@ualberta.ca and we can set aside your mold materials for you to pick up later. You can make the molds yourself if you complete CO2 Laser Cutter and Vacuum Former training. No refunds will be issued.
Can't attend either date but want custom molds made anyway? Choose the "Submit My Designs" option and we'll send you instructions for how to email us your design(s). Staff will convert your designs into a vector file, cut the inserts on the laser cutter, and vacuum form your molds for you to pick up! Please expect a 24-48 hour turnaround for submitted designs.
