COURSE DESCRIPTION

Inhalation sedation with nitrous oxide has proven to be an effective and safe technique for the reduction of stress in the apprehensive or anxious individual.

STRUCTURE

This Program is now online based theory and lectures with pre-study required, followed by a scheduled in-person Clinical Day. The theory component will be online, with online eClass access provided one month prior to the registered in-person session dates. The in-person clinical session date will be scheduled over either ONE of the two sessions noted based on participant numbers and groups - specific date or time TBC closer to the date of the course (in-person sessions are limited attendance, based on registration numbers). Deadline to register is 3 weeks prior to each in-person course session date, in order to provide sufficient time for completing the online course and exams (registration past this deadline may be permitted, provided you acknowledge you will ensure completion of the pre-study content and eClass prior to the clinical session).

This course includes course curriculum as required by the ACDH. Course content includes both didactic and practical hands on participation involving the administration of nitrous-oxide/oxygen inhalation sedation. It is useful for practitioners who want to feel comfortable in utilizing this particular modality in their office.
