A minimum 8-hour virtual course covering topics specific to leading group exercise portable equipment classes. This applied course will cover specific information for planning and developing portable equipment classes. Topics include: use of portable equipment, evolution, research and guidelines, class structure and content; planning, class components, use of music, leadership and choreography; equipment exercises, movement combinations, instruction and cueing. *May include, but not limited to the following: free weights, body bars/barbells, stability balls, tubing/resist-a-bands, BOSU, steps, medicine balls, foam rollers.
The course includes both theory and practical components. Participants will need a small area for some practical activity. Equipment that would be helpful: exercise mat, free weights, resistance band or tubing, and a chair.This course will be offered as an online course through Zoom.

Important Information: This will be a virtual live streamed presentation - join the meeting via your unique private zoom sent to your email. Please log in using the link a few minutes before the event for the first session June 18 at 10:00 am. This link will be included in an email sent 12- 24 hours prior to the session. As well, you will also receive further information about the course and facilitator. Please note if you join before then, your session will be timed out (or may time out.) Attendance in the full course is required to move forward with AFLCA certification.
Prerequisite: Exercise Theory and Group Exercise Fundamentals course completion is required before registering in this course.

Refunds and Cancelations:
Cancellations must be received before June 15, 2021. An administration fee of $30 will be withheld from your registration fee. No refunds after June 15, 2021.
